Edward graduated from The Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester and qualified in 1992. He has worked exclusively in Gloucestershire and the Cotswolds throughout his career.
For around 20 years, he managed offices for a national estate agency firm in Tetbury and later Stow-on-the-Wold, giving him in-depth knowledge of how such firms operate, including their strengths and weaknesses.
In 2009, Edward and Charles Arkell re-established the well-known, highly respected and long-established firm Tayler and Fletcher after it had been absorbed by Humberts. This restored the firm’s independence and allowed its multi-disciplined divisions to continue supporting those with an interest in property.
Edward is a Fellow of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS), a RICS Registered Valuer, and an experienced estate agent who has sold many notable properties. He specialises in the sale and valuation of residential and rural property across the Cotswolds, with broad experience in property matters and a strong ability to resolve complex issues. He also undertakes professional valuation and expert witness work, and is known for his attention to detail, clear thinking, strong negotiation skills, communication and commitment to acting firmly in his clients’ interests.
Edward is also an experienced Property and Chattels Auctioneer, adding another dimension to his estate agency expertise. More recently, he was awarded the RICS Expert Witness Certificate and gained accreditation as a RICS Evaluative Mediator.
